Give your agent the exact record values and provider, then ask it to create a session for the client’s DNS dashboard.

Help connect example.com. Inspect the existing DNS records,
add the supplied CNAME value, and verify the saved record.
Do not remove unrelated records.

The client signs in themselves, reviews the task, and starts. Have the agent verify the saved value and report it. Saving a DNS record does not prove public DNS propagation has finished.
