Install or update the Chrome extension

Desktop Google Chrome is required. The extension does not run on phones or tablets. If you opened an invitation there, use Copy link and continue on your computer.

The published Store version 0.19.0 supports sessions led by your connected agent. Automatic sessions require version 0.20.0 or later. Check the version requirement on your invitation before changing an existing installation.

1. Open Docked in the Chrome Web Store, select Add to Chrome, and confirm the installation.
2. Pin Docked in Chrome’s extensions menu.
3. Return to your invitation. Reload the invitation if Docked is not detected, then choose Open Docked.
4. Review the task and requested access in the side panel before selecting Start Session.

Chrome automatically delivers published Store updates; a new version may take time to reach your browser. A website update does not update the installed extension. The account menu in Docked shows the detected installed version and the published Store version.

Use the same Chrome profile for the extension and the site you want to work in.

Switching from an unpacked copy

If you use automatic sessions, keep your compatible unpacked version until a compatible Store release is available; switching from 0.20.0 to Store 0.19.0 removes automatic-session support. For a supported transition, end any active Docked session first. Disable the unpacked copy in chrome://extensions before installing the Store version, and keep only one Docked copy enabled in that Chrome profile. Saved extension settings, website permissions, and sessions do not migrate automatically. Review access again before starting a new session.
